Year 6 have taken part in a Bikeability cycling programme which is designed to make children feel safe to ride their bikes
on today's roads.
There are three Bikeability levels, with each level designed to help improve their cycling skills, no matter what they know already.
Level 1,2 and 3 take trainees on a journey from the basics of balance and control, all the way through to planning and making a journey by themselves on busier roads. The children who took part in the scheme successfully passed Level 1 and some went even further to pass Level 2! The coaches, who trained and tested the children, reported that the children were ' a pleasure to train' and showed some excellent cycling skills. Well done to all those who took part!!
