ColourMeIn - Art Project

Posted 8th May

ART PROJECT Excellence in Learning Community (ELC). The ELC was established in 2015 as a diverse group of 16 primary schools from across the London Borough of Enfield.

West Grove is a part of this group. Our main focus is providing excellence in teaching and learning. Head teachers support each other by actively sharing good practice; working together to deliver excellence in learning to all our pupils; and collaborating on teacher training.

Exhibition theme The 16 Primary Schools in Enfield are collaborating on an art project over the summer term, resulting in an amazing art exhibition to be held in the Dugdale Centre in the first week of July 2019. The schools will be working with a not-for-profit company, ColourMeIn Art School, who specialise in art education and facilitation. Each school will create their own artwork for one of the letters that, when combined, will spell "ENFIELD COMMUNITY". The artwork will be surrounding an art centre piece, based on the theme of an ATM and money, giving homage to the first ATM in the UK being installed in Enfield.

Approach The primary school children will be working with the ColourMeIn Art School over May and June to work on their unique school contribution. As they do, they will be learning about Andy Warhol’s artwork. Parents and Carers from all 16 schools will be able to view this art work on Sunday 30th June to Saturday 6th July 2019 at: Dugdale Centre 39 London Road Enfield EN2 6DS.
