The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Embroidery Project
West Grove has been incredibly fortunate to take part in an art project.
Stitch in Palmers Green has been awarded a grant by the Arts Council to produce a community art project to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Twenty-two Year 6 children have been selected to work collaboratively with a local artist who is a member of the Embroiderer’s Guild.
The aim of the project is to produce a quilt made up of panels of embroidery designed by groups from the Enfield community. The finished project will then be displayed around different venues across the borough.
The children have really enjoyed being part of this extraordinary project to mark the reign of the longest current reigning monarch.
We will be having a Jubilee Day to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 27th May. We will celebrate with fun activities for the children. Your child may wear red, white and blue to school on this day. Let’s have some fun!
