WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR FOR SCHOOL?
We expect all children to wear school uniform. It looks very smart and the children are dressed ready for learning. It helps us set the tone for the school. It is not compulsory, but it is the corporate image of West Grove Primary School. We expect all children to look smart and ready to learn.
Royal blue, emerald green and grey
Royal blue joggers
Grey trousers / shorts / skirt / dress
Emerald green polo shirt
Royal blue sweatshirt / fleece
Hijab – available from school
Sensible black shoes
Sweatshirts, fleeces, polo shirts, joggers and summer dresses can be purchased from our uniform supplier J Smith and Sons. J Smith and Sons run a uniform shop at the school every Wednesday morning between 8.30am and 9.15am. Your child will need a book bag, also available from J Smith and Sons.
Girls: Blue and white check/striped dress
Boys: Grey or royal blue shorts and green polo shirt
It will assist us enormously if you label all your child’s clothes with their name. Labels can be ordered with your child’s uniform.
It is essential that children are provided with a PE kit, clearly marked with the child’s name and kept at school in a properly marked bag. PE bags can be purchased from J Smith and Sons.
All children will need:
Black plimsolls, black shorts and white T-shirt
During the winter months children may wear an appropriate track suit.
Children should not wear jewellery to school, except in the case of items of religious significance. Only stud ear-rings are allowed. Other items of jewellery pose considerable risk to personal safety at playtimes and during PE lessons.
The school accepts no responsibility or liability for any lost items of jewellery or clothing.
